Aideen's Grave on the grounds of Howth Castle in Dublin. The tomb is approximately 4,500 years old. Unfortunately, it is a collapsed tomb; its capstone is enormous, the second largest in the country. The legend surrounding this site is tremendous, linked to Fionn mac Cumhaill's grandson, Oscar, who died in battle in 284 AD. His wife, Aideen, died of grief and is reputedly buried here. The poem I narrated is by Samuel Ferguson, a great Irish poet and antiquarian. #irishhistory #irishmythology #ir
